Jacob Braun designed the symbol to be neutral across gender, skin tone, and language. It’s meant to connect naturist people, groups, and places, rather than identify one organization.

Do I need to belong to a club to wear it?
No. The symbol represents a positive connection with naturism, not membership in a particular club. You don’t need a membership card to appreciate what it stands for.
Will everyone recognize it?
Not necessarily—and that subtlety is part of the idea. Some people see sun and waves. Others recognize the naturist connection. It can be a small invitation to a good conversation.
