Care info
Made in the USA. Worn your way.
A little care.
A lot more wear.
Meet the details that make your everyday favorite: fine Grecian leather cord, handmade stainless steel components, and a freakishly strong little clasp. Here’s how to get the fit right, wear it, and give it a refresh when the time comes.
Small detail. Big difference.
Freakishly strong.
Surprisingly small.
I make these stainless steel clasps myself. Each clasp end is individually machined, tapped, tumbled, pressed, and polished. There’s a lot of work inside that little detail—and a magnetic hold that surprises people the first time they try it.
To open
Hold the leather on both sides of the clasp and pull straight apart. Keep your grip on the leather, rather than pulling on the metal clasp ends.
Why the grip matters
Pulling on the metal can strain the magnet and cause breakage. It may feel counterintuitive, but the leather is where you should hold it to open your piece.
Real life. Real wear.
Yes, I shower in mine.
Every day, actually. I use fine Grecian leather cord that handles regular exposure to water. Thousands of my customers wear their bracelets and necklaces around the clock, and I do too.
How long does the leather last?
In my experience, a year of continuous wear is a reasonable expectation, and sometimes the leather lasts for years. It’s a natural material, so its lifespan varies with wear and conditions. That’s an expectation based on experience, not a fixed lifespan or guarantee.
What happens when the leather wears out?
The leather can be replaced. The stainless steel components are made for long-term use, so worn cord doesn’t have to mean saying goodbye to your favorite piece. My Naked Nate’s Refresh service, currently available to US customers only, gives it a fresh start.
What if the clasp or coated beads need attention?
The refresh service includes cleaning and clasp refurbishment, with replacement magnets and replacement of worn powder-coated beads when needed. Get in touch and tell me what needs attention.
A good fit starts here.
Your wrist. Plus half an inch.
- Measure directly around your wrist, with the tape resting against your skin. Leave no extra space, but don’t pull it uncomfortably tight.
- Add ½ inch to that measurement to choose your bracelet length.
- No measuring tape? Wrap a piece of string around your wrist, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.
As a general reference, many women wear a 7½-inch bracelet and many men wear an 8-inch bracelet. Wrists vary widely, so measuring is better than guessing.
Choosing a necklace or anklet? The half-inch rule above is specifically for bracelets. For help choosing another style’s length, ask me before ordering.
Keep your favorite in rotation.
